Terms of use

These terms govern the use of nwn.gg, a service for creating a personal profile page with your links, images, music and design. By creating an account or publishing a profile you accept them. They are short on purpose: please read them.

1. Who we are

nwn.gg is provided by Pol Navarro Oliver, tax ID 41633052Q, Carrer Pas d’en Marges, 22, 08360 Canet de Mar (Barcelona) (España). You can write to us at team@nwn.gg. That address is also our point of contact for users, rights holders and authorities (Digital Services Act, Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Articles 11 and 12). We answer in Spanish and English.

2. Who can use nwn.gg

You must be at least 14 years old. If you are under 18, you need permission from your parents or guardians. You may only have one account and you are responsible for what is done with it. You sign in with your Discord or Google account, so keep them secure.

3. Your username

• Names with 4 or more characters are free; 1 to 3 characters are a paid perk.
• Names that insult or incite hatred, that impersonate another person, a brand or nwn.gg, and names reserved for the service are not allowed.
• We may take back a name that breaks these rules or infringes third-party rights (for example, a registered trademark).
• If you change your name, the old one stays reserved for you for 30 days and is then released.
• Profiles from the old nwn.gg kept their names and are handed to the Discord account that created them the first time it signs in.

4. Your content

What you upload (text, images, videos, music, links) remains yours. So that we can run the service, you give us a free, worldwide permission to store it, copy it, convert it (for example, resize it or change its format) and show it publicly on nwn.gg and in link previews. That permission ends when you delete it or close your account, except for backups kept for a limited time or what we must keep by law.

Your profile is public: anyone with the link can see it, and search engines may index it unless you turn that off in the editor.

Image Host and Custom badge. With these add-ons you can upload images and GIFs to share with a direct nwn.gg link (nwn.gg/i/…) or show in a gallery on your profile, and create a badge with your own icon and name. We re-encode every file and strip its hidden data (EXIF, GPS location, comments). No image is published until it passes the review described in section 7, and only images are accepted (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP and AVIF): no SVG, HTML or other files. A badge name can’t pass for an official badge or the NWN team. The rules in section 5 apply to everything you upload, even if you only share it by link outside nwn.gg.

5. Content rules

You may not publish or link to content that:

• is illegal or promotes illegal activity;
• sexualises minors in any way (we report it to the authorities);
• is pornographic or sexually explicit;
• incites hatred, discrimination or violence against people or groups, or glorifies terrorism;
• harasses, threatens or humiliates others, or publishes their personal data without permission;
• shows graphic violence or promotes self-harm or eating disorders;
• impersonates another person, brand or organisation, or misleads about who you are;
• is a scam, phishing, malware, spam or a deceptive link;
• infringes copyright, trademarks or other third-party rights.

6. Music and copyright

Only upload music, images and videos that are yours or that you have the right to use (because you have a licence, the rights holder’s permission, or they are free to use). By uploading them you guarantee that this is the case and that you answer to the rights holders.

nwn.gg stores what users upload, but does not create, select or review it before it goes live. As a hosting provider we are not liable for that content as long as we do not know it is unlawful, and once we know, we remove it promptly (Article 16 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Article 6 of the Digital Services Act).

If you hold rights and a song or image on nwn.gg infringes them, tell us through the profile’s “Report” link by choosing “Infringes copyright”, or write to team@nwn.gg. Include:

• your name (or the organisation you represent) and a contact email;
• the profile (nwn.gg/name) and which work is used without permission;
• why you hold rights to it;
• a good-faith statement that the information is accurate.

When a claim is well founded we remove the song or content (or the whole profile if needed) and that file cannot be published again. We tell the user why and how to appeal. Accounts that infringe repeatedly are closed.

7. Reports and moderation

Anyone can report a profile through its “Report” link, without an account. A person on our team reviews each report and may do nothing, remove a specific item (for example, the song), hide the profile or suspend the account, depending on how serious it is and whether it is repeated.

We also use some automated measures:

• a filter that blocks offensive usernames or ones that impersonate brands;
• if many different people report the same profile in a short time, it is hidden temporarily until a person reviews it;
• every image you upload with Image Host and every custom badge icon is reviewed by an artificial intelligence system before anyone else can see it. If it finds something prohibited, or refuses to review it, the image is held unpublished until a person on our team reviews it and approves, hides or deletes it. If the review can’t run at that moment, the image waits privately;
• anyone can report an image from its page (nwn.gg/i/…) or from a gallery; if several people report it, or it is reported for putting minors at risk, it stops being shown until a person reviews it;
• an artificial intelligence system reviews what you publish; if it finds something very serious (for example, sexual content involving minors or pornography) it hides the profile until a person reviews it, and when in doubt it alerts the team.

No account is suspended without human review. When we act on your profile we explain it in your editor: what we did, why, and whether an automated measure was involved. If you disagree, write to team@nwn.gg with your username: a person, different from the first one where possible, will review it.

8. Paid features

nwn.gg is free. In the store you can buy perks for your profile (such as Premium and short names) and ranks for the NWN Discord server. They are sold to you by Pol Navarro Oliver, who runs nwn.gg.

• Price and payment. Before paying you see the final price, VAT included, what it includes and how long it lasts. Payment happens on Stripe’s secure page; we never see or store your card details.
• Delivery. What you buy is activated as soon as the payment is confirmed and stays linked to your account. Ranks go to your Discord account, which must be in the NWN server. If you leave the server, the rank comes back when you rejoin while it is still valid.
• Renewal. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the same price until you cancel. You can cancel the renewal at any time from “Mis compras”: you keep what you paid for until the end of the period. One-off (“lifetime”) payments don’t renew.
• Withdrawal. When paying you ask for activation straight away. For one-off payments, which are digital content, this means you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once it is activated. For monthly and yearly plans you can withdraw within 14 days of buying by writing to team@nwn.gg: we refund what you paid minus the part already used.
• Refunds and chargebacks. If a payment is refunded in full or you dispute it with your bank, what you bought with it is removed. For Image Host, your images stop being served and the gallery stops showing; we keep them for 30 days in case you buy it again and then delete them. For Custom badge, the badge stops showing on your profile. If something doesn’t work as described, write to team@nwn.gg and we will fix it or refund you.
• Suspension. If we suspend your account for breaking these terms you lose the perks without a refund of the remaining part, unless the law says otherwise.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep nwn.gg up and fast, but we cannot guarantee it will be free of interruptions or errors. We may improve, change or remove features. If a change affects you significantly, we will give you reasonable notice.

10. Liability

We provide the service with due care, but we are not responsible for content published by users or for external sites they link to. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer or our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

11. Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using nwn.gg whenever you like. To delete your account and profile, write to team@nwn.gg from your account’s email or with your username; we will do it within 30 days at most. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and we will tell you why.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will publish the new version here with its date and, if the change is significant, let you know before it applies. If you disagree, you can close your account.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring claims before the courts where you live and you keep the rights the law of your country of residence gives you.
